Cynthia Roney, Certified Executive Coach (CEC) 

Cynthia Roney is a seasoned, hands-on business professional with more than 20 years experience including Director of Sales and Marketing, Vice President Business Development and President & Chief Executive Officer and Board Director of a TSX publicly traded company. In September 2007, Cynthia began her studies in the Royal Roads University Graduate Executive Coaching program, and at the same time accepted a new position as President & CEO of an early stage privately held medical device company.  In March 2008, Cynthia graduated from Royal Roads University as a Certified Executive Coach (CEC).  In addition to her responsibility as full-time President & CEO, Cynthia devotes a portion of her personal time to her executive coaching clients and provides pro-bono coaching to the Minerva Foundation “Helping Women Work” program.  Ms. Roney lives in Vancouver with her husband of 22 years and their 3 teenagers aged 18, 16 and 15.  The family also invites international students to stay in their home.  Cynthia’s career has provided extraordinary challenges and opportunities and she looks forward to leveraging her experience and personal approach to help support, coach and mentor others with their professional and personal challenges.

Karen Ryan, Leadership Consultant and Executive Coach

Karen focuses on the people aspect of organizational change.  She consults in the areas of strategic management, organizational culture shifts and change initiatives, leadership and team development, organizational problem solving, and continuous improvement processes.

Over the past 25+ years, Karen has supported her organizational consulting work – including assessments of organizational systems and processes – through developing and facilitating innovative workshops based on assessed needs and linked to each client’s strategic direction.  She brings to her clients her unique experience, including work as a counselor, trainer, researcher, administrator and consultant to both the public and private sectors.

Karen holds a graduate degree from the University of Calgary and has been a guest lecturer for Grant MacEwan College in Edmonton and the University of Calgary Management Development Program.  She is currently a faculty member of the Banff Centre for Leadership Development’s Leadership Challenge program and is a course designer and faculty on a number of the Centre’s customized programs.

Karen is especially proud of her professional forays into the international arena.  Various consulting projects have taken her to four separate continents, and provided her with the opportunity to work with several different corporate and ethnic cultures.

Steve Zanini, Consultant, Facilitator and Executive Coach

Steve has over 25+ years of experience in the areas of management, education, communication and organizational development.  He brings a strong background in the telecommunications, oil and gas and utility sectors.

Steve is an accomplished educator, communicator and coach.  He is passionate and enthusiastic about human captial within organizations and helps translate business strategies into results through the performance of people.

Steve advises individual and business clients in development of management and leadership skills such as, team development, personal assessment, performance management, recognition, feedback, and conflict resolution.

His educational background includes Certificates in Human Resources Management and Workplace Communication. Steve is also a graduate of the Coaching Training Institute Program (CTI).

Steve's philosophy is to "Ignite the fire in others, for at the end of the day, people, not strategies change the world".  Steve is also a Certified Facilitator with Franklin Covey Canada.

Marty Park, Professional Speaker and Business Coach

Whether it is delivering a keynote speech to a group or coaching business clients, Marty enjoys giving people practical, functional ideas and inspiration they can really use.  As the co-owner and operator of businesses ranging from franchises, to restaurants to technology still today, Marty is practicing what he professes.

Marty started his career as an entrepreneur at age 20.  Being everything from the janitor to the President of a company has given Marty great perspective on building a great company but more importantly on building a great life.

Moving from technology into business coaching seven years ago, Marty was awarded the Business Coach of the Year for Canada and North America. The 2003 Award for Global Contribution to Action Coaching and the coaching profession.  He is recognized internationally for his work developing both business coaches and their practices around the world.  In addition to international recognition, Marty was selected as one of Calgary's Top 40 Business Professionals under 40 in 2004 by Calgary Inc. magazine.  He was recognized as the Canadian Youth Business Foundation: Mentor of the Year in 2005.

Kevin Burns, Author, Professional Speaker

Kevin is the World's Only Instigational Speaker.  His style has been described as an in-your-face mixture of Dr. Phil and the observational humor of Jerry Seinfeld.

Kevin has indeed done it all, from Dickie Dee salesman (age 12), to disc jockey, restaurant manager, postal worker, photocopier salesman, and award winning marketing and advertising consultant.  He has learned from experience, the power that focus, stress and balance can have on people.

Kevin believes strongly in principles like accountability, responsibility, service, truth and a belief in yourself.  His presentation, "Life is Short but Really Really Wide" continually has his audiences getting results in life and laughing along the way.

John Eberley, Lifestyle Coach, Certified Trainer, Nutritionist, BIOScan Practitioner

John has been very active in the health and fitness field for more then twenty years.  He has worked with personal training clients since 1982 and his first nutritional consultation was in 1983.

On two occasions John has placed in the top three at the Alberta Provincial Bodybuilding Championships (85’ & 86’).  In 1987 his focus shifted from bodybuilding to identifying the proactive lifestyles, behaviors, and substances that actually maintain and improve human health.

In 1999, John started a private health consulting service to help people navigate through the sea of misinformation, half-truths and outright lies related to health.  He uses a most advanced computerized health analysis system, which allows him to create "Personal Health Strategies" that are unique for each individual client.

As a health advocate, truth detective, and author, John's writings have appeared in Alive Magazine, and the Calgary Herald among others.

Margaret Miyagishima, MS, Consultant, Facilitator and Coach 

Margaret Miyagishima is a diversely qualified consultant, coach and facilitator with extensive experience in a variety of training and development and Human Resources roles in Canada and the United States. She has worked with organizations as varied as small private sector service providers to international oil and gas companies. 

Margaret is able to work effectively with organizations and individuals over the shorter or longer term. She is able to quickly build and maintain solid working relationships with clients. Her personal approach and ability to relate to people serve her well in achieving the desired results. 

Margaret is a trained facilitator and is a Licensed Practitioner for Insights Discovery®, a Jungian based personality style indicator. In addition, she is authorized to present Powerful Professionals, a workshop designed to enhance consulting and business partnering skills. She is a seasoned instructor at the University of Calgary in Continuing Education. Margaret holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a Master’s degree in Human Resource Economics. 

Margaret and her husband are the proud parents of two grown children. When not cooking up a storm for family and friends, Margaret is often found in a yoga studio, singing or walking with her dog on one of Calgary’s many paths.
