Denise Chenger

Denise grew up and worked in a variety of family-owned businesses learning firsthand the multiple hats worn by small business owners. She went on to work for large companies in Canada and US advancing to senior level roles leading major strategic initiatives and conducting multi-million-dollar turnarounds by building high performing teams to achieve exceptional EBITDA and operational improvements.

For the last 15+ years, she has been consulting with senior leaders and their teams to drive efficiencies, profitability, and sustainable growth. A coach at heart, Denise s begins all engagements with a people first approach which includes understanding both the company and individual’s goals along with the company strategy, culture and desired future state. She believes that high-performing teams and exceptional results emerge when people have clear objectives and the opportunity to contribute in ways that truly matter.

Corporate and consulting projects have included business turnarounds, business model and structure review and design, major project cold-eyes review, M&A integration, business readiness, and six “integrated operations” projects – defined as using real time data to increase productivity and avoid operating downtime. She incorporates a multi-discipline approach to all of her work focusing on people, processes, governance, structure, technology and data, and the physical environment.

As a professor in operations and supply chain management, she enjoys working with the next generation to help them understand how to optimize the value chain. As a published author in leading international journals, Denise has presented her research at conferences in Canada and the US. She recently wrote and published a book titled “Creating value through project-based supply chain decisions” available on both Amazon and Harvard. Academic designations include a bachelor’s degree in small business and entrepreneurship (B of ASBE), a diploma in human resource management, an MBA and MSc, and a PhD in project management and strategy.
